The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing whether David Coleman Headley had a role in the 2008 Jaipur serial blasts after it was revealed that the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror operative paid multiple visits to the Pink City between 2006 and 2009.

As per information shared by FBI with NIA, Headley first visited Jaipur in 2006 and followed it up with another visit the same year. Investigators believe he might have conducted a detailed survey and also taken photographs of the Walled City posing as a tourist.

“NIA had demanded hotel records and travel documents of all foreign nationals who visited Jaipur since 2006. It found that Headley had been to Jaipur twice in 2006, possibly on recce missions,” intelligence sources said.
