Deputy Labour commissioner held for accepting bribe

A labour department official has been arrested by vigilance team here for allegedly accepting a bribe for issuing a license, officials said today.

Deputy Labour Commissioner Deewan Lal was caught red-handed yesterday by vigilance department while accepting a bribe of Rs15000 from C S Nayal, manager of a private company for issuing a labour license.

Lal has been booked under anti-corruption act.

Vigilance Director V R Pant has announced a reward of Rs5000 to the team which allegedly caught Lal red-handed.
