Delhi raid a bid to murder me: Ramdev

Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Sunday alleged that there were attempts to rape his women supporters during the midnight police crackdown. He said he would have been killed had he not run away.

“There was attempts to rape the women... human rights were violated. We will give the proof related to this when the time comes,” Ramdev alleged at a press conference after visiting Raj Bala, 51, one of his women supporters who suffered spinal injuries in the police crackdown and is admitted in the intensive care unit in a Delhi hospital.

“Behen Raj Bala is in very critical condition. Only a miracle can save her once the ventilator is removed. Rajbala’s condition is due to police violence. If the police say they didn’t hit her, then who did? She is on a ventilator. If she lives, she won’t be able to walk again,” he said. Though police maintained that there was no restriction on Ramdev’s movements.
