Delhi cop held for demanding money to settle rape case

A sub-inspector of Delhi police was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding money for settling a rape case.

SI Sharif Ahmed, posted at New Usmanpur police station, was arrested yesterday by the ACB, following investigations into a complaint filed in December last year about the police officer demanding money, officials of the bureau said today.

The accused was produced before the court of judge Rakesh Sidharth who sent him to judicial custody till February 11.
