Death toll in Nalbari blast rises to eight

A cloth merchant, Kader Ali who was brought to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital here in a critical condition, succumbed to his injuries and his son is still battling for his life.

The death toll in the twin bomb blast in Assam's Nalbari town on November 22 rose to eight with one person succumbing to his injuries today, official sources said here.

A cloth merchant, Kader Ali and his 10-year-old son were injured in the second blast. Ali, who was brought to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital here in a critical condition, succumbed to his injuries and his son is still battling for his life.

Seven people died on the day of the blast while 54 others were injured with 34 of them shifted to the GMCH here.
