Cultural centre at Raja Garden to be opened to public soon

The Delhi Cabinet meeting, presided by chief minister Sheila Dikshit, today approved a proposal to hand over operation of the cultural centre to Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation from Public Works Department (PWD).

A cultural centre having facilities like library, gymnasium, amphitheatre-cum-mini exhibition hall and food courts will soon be thrown open to public at Raja Garden area of West Delhi.
   
The Delhi Cabinet meeting, presided by chief minister Sheila Dikshit, today approved a proposal to hand over operation of the cultural centre, built below the 1.2 km long Raja Garden flyover, to Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation from Public Works Department (PWD).
   
Dikshit said the cultural centre will become operational soon after a draft agreement is signed between PWD and DTTDC.
   
The Raja Garden flyover built along the intersection of the Ring Road and Najafgarh Road was opened to traffic in June 2001.
