CPI(M) leader's son arrested for running sleaze racket

The son of a local CPI(M) leader along with four others, including two Bangladeshi women, were arrested today for running a sleaze racket in the city's Dum Dum area, the police said.

Sayan Sengupta, son of Subrata Sengupta, secretary of CPI(M)'s Dum Dum local committee, and two Bangladeshi women along with their male companions were arrested from a flat on Ananda Bosu road in the Dum Dum police station area in the early hours, they said.

Deputy commissioner of police (Headquarters) Kallol Garai said passports and visas belonging to the two women and a CCTV camera were seized from the flat.
