A Delhi court today agreed to hear a complaint against Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackarey, his son Uddhav and his nephew Raj, chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, accusing them of spreading disharmony in different communities by their "vitriolic" statements.

Metropolitan magistrate Shivali Sharma listed a complaint filed by Rajendra Singh Raja, general secretary of political party Shiv Sena Hindustan, for March 30 for recording evidence.

Raja, in his complaint, sought criminal prosecution of the Thackareys', charging their recent statements against
North Indians residing in Mumbai were "unconstitutional and illegal".

He also cited comments made by the Shiv Sena chief against Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

The complaint sought registration of an FIR against the Thackerays for allegedly promoting enmity between different groups, deliberately intending to outrage religious feelings and provoking breach of peace besides other offences under the IPC.
