A Delhi court would Tuesday pronounce its order on a plea of Sanjay Chandra, Managing Director of Unitech and an accused in the 2G case, that he be allowed to visit Singapore for treatment of his nine-year-old son, recently diagnosed with diabetes.

Special CBI Judge OP Saini Monday reserved his order on the application of Chandra, who is out on bail, that he be permitted to visit Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for the treatment of his minor son, who has been suffering from a kidney problem earlier and now been diagnosed with diabetes.

The Unitech MD wants to remain out of country from December 24 to December 29. Senior Advocate RS Cheema, appearing for Chandra, said the doctor at the hospital has given him an appointment for December 27.

CBI, however, opposed the plea saying probe regarding the money trail in the 2G case was still on.

"Since January 10, 2010, Chandra has visited Singapore nine times, out of which eight were business trips and one was to the doctor in connection with his son's well being.

"The probe in the case is being looked by two agencies, the CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED). Investigation related to money trail in the 2G scam is still going on. ED had sent  Letters Rogatory to its counterparts at Singapore and the agency is yet to receive the reply from them," Special Public Prosecutor UU Lalit said.

He, however, conceded that it was a "difficult task" for him as he felt sorry at the health condition of Chandra's son.

"I never disputed on it (health condition of the child) and I feel sorry for that. It was very difficult task for me. As a parent, I accept that we want to be with our child at the time of his treatment for his well being and we want to give best treatment to our child," he said.
