A court today rejected the revision bail petitions of three accused in the 2007 Ajmer dargah blast case, in which three persons were killed and 15 injured.

District judge Prashant Kumar Agarwal rejected the petitions of Devender Gupta, Lokesh Sharma and Chander Shekhar Lave, who were brought under tight security.

The court had heard their plea on Saturday.

While Gupta and Sharma were in Hyderabad Jail, Lave was lodged in the Central Jail in Ajmer.

Lawyer of the three accused, Umardan Lakhavt, filed the revision petition after the chief judicial magistrate rejected their bail application.

This morning, chief judicial magistrate Ratan Lal committed to the sessions court for trial the blast case.

The court ordered the trio to be present on November 2 for the next hearing.

On October 22, Rajasthan ATS filed a 806-page charge sheet against the accused trio and Sandeep Dange and Ramji Kalsangre (both absconding) in the court of additional chief judicial magistrate Jagendra Kumar Jain.

They have been charged with various sections of the IPC, including 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 120B (conspiracy) and 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship).

Another accused Sunil Joshi died during the course of investigation, according to ATS officer Satyendra Singh who filed the charge sheet. The prosecution has cited 133 witnesses. Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar has been named in the charge sheet.
