A Delhi court today ordered the Director General (DG) of Tihar Jail to conduct an inquiry as to why three the jailed Commonwealth Games scam case accused were not being produced before it in connection with a separate case lodged against them for absconding during the probe.
The three accused who were charge sheeted in the main case of corruption were avoiding their appearance before the court which led CBI to register a separate case against them.
Later, the accused had surrendered and taken into judicial custody for the main case but the Tihar Jail authority failed to comply with the court order issuing production warrant against the accused for the case lodged after they were declared as proclaimed offenders.
Special Judge Talwant Singh directed the DG, Tihar Jail, to file his report on December 8 relating to non-compliance of the warrant issued to them for the second case.
