A study class conducted by Mandalam Congress committe witnessed unruly scenes when the party activists clashed with each other in the venue in the presence of its leaders at Ambalathara here today.
   
A group of 50-Congress activists came as a march to the study class venue alleging disparities in issuing membership and raised slogans against the party local leaders leading to clash.
   
Six Congress activists were suspended in connection with the incident by District Congress Committee, party sources said.

Chairs and tube-lights were damaged in the melee. No one was injured, sources said.
   
KPCC spokesman and former minister MM Hassan was among the leaders who witnessed the clash.

Later, in his inaugural speech, Hassan said complaints on membership issue, if any, would be looked into by the leadership.
