Congress delegation submits memorandum to UP governor

A delegation of Congress led by Jagdamibka Pal today met Uttar Pradesh governor BL Joshi seeking his intervention to solve various problems of farmers including hiking cane price and shortage of fertilisers.
    
"Due to non-functional cane mills in eastern UP, farmers in the region have to suffer huge losses. The government should direct mills to increase cane price to atleast Rs250 per quintal," Pal, Congress MP from Domariyaganj said in a memorandum to the governor.
    
He also sought his intervention to end fertiliser crisis claiming that there was acute shortage of DAP fertiliser in eastern UP.
