Following complaints about the quality of food and services, Congress had to change the entire canteen team on the second day of the party Plenary.

Sources in the party said that a minister in Delhi government was earlier given responsibility for all the canteens running at the venue including the media canteen.

However, certain party workers reported food related problems as well as poor management following which the AICC took a decision to change the canteen service.

It was also found that non-media people were allowed entry into the media canteen.

Sources in the Delhi unit of the party confirmed the development adding that the team was changed following the embarrassment and four MLAs were deputed today to oversee the canteen services and enforce discipline.

A close associate of Delhi chief minister Shiela Dikshit was given the charge of streamlining the services.
