The Congress today announced its sixth list of candidates for 27 seats in Uttar Pradesh besides two replacements taking the total number of party nominees announced so far for the seven-phase polls to 353.

The Congress has left as many as 45 seats to Ajit Singh's RLD, with which it has reached alliance last month. The seats for RLD has been given in Singh's stronghold of Western UP, which has a total of 403 seats.

Rahul Gandhi is leading the campaign there for 2012 with the aim of bringing the party to power in the crucial state, where it is in political wilderness for last 22 years.
