Police has arrested three Congress activists including National Students Union of India (NSUI) District President here in connection with roughing up of police personnel and damaging government property last month during a demonstration led by Congress leader Digvijay Singh.
  
NSUI Rajgarh District chief, Lokesh Dubey and two Congress activist Ashish Satalker and Bablu Batham were arrested yesterday from the Congress office for allegedly damaging government property and beating up police personnel during the protest at the collectorate here on September one, Town Inspector of Police, Rajiv Saxena said today.

Police had booked a total of 18 Congress workers under various sections of IPC, he said, adding of them, three were apprehended yesterday while remaining were still at large.

Hundreds of Congress workers had a skirmish with the police on September one when they were on their way to submit a memorandum on their demands including unscheduled power cuts in the district to the Collector.

More than a dozen persons including Digvijay Singh and six policemen had been injured in the stone-pelting besides damage to the government property at the collectorate in the incident.
