Condition of Mamata Banerjee's mother unchanged

The condition of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's mother, Gayetri Banerjee, now on life support for a kidney-related ailment, continued to be critical, doctors attending on her at SSKM hospital said.

"Her condition continues to be critical and she is still on life support," Director of Medical Education Sushanta Banerjee told PTI.

Gayetri Banerjee, 81, was admitted to the state-run SSKM hospital on November 25 and her condition had deteriorated yesterday, he said.

A medical board was formed under R Pande to monitor her condition.
