A General Body meeting of the AMU Teachers Assocation (AMUTA) has called for a "comprehensive time bound CBI inquiry" into the affairs of the University.

The stormy meeting of the AMUTA which concluded yesterday night also passed a resolution demanding "immediate reopening of the unviersity" which has been closed abruptly last Friday following student's agitation.

The resolution stated, "The main reason for the present trouble at AMU is the communication gap between the Univerity community and the vice chancellor".

The AMUTA has also demanded that elections to various bodies of the University, including the Students Union Academic Council and AMU Court should be held at the earliest.
