Cold, misty morning for Delhi

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius, over two degrees below yesterday's minimum of 11 degrees. The minimum though was still a degree above the normal level.

Delhi shivered on yet another cold morning as the mercury dropped and the mist prevented the sun from warming the city.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius, over two degrees below yesterday's minimum of 11 degrees. The minimum though was still a degree above the normal level.

The capital was surrounded by a cover of mist during the morning hours and there was no sun to be seen.

The maximum temperature over the last 24 hours was recorded at 16.7 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal.

The temperatures are expected to be in the same levels tomorrow with the weather officials forecasting a minimum of 8 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 17 over the next 24 hours.

Last year, the month of January recorded the lowest minimum of 5.6 degrees Celsius in the first week of the year.
