Cold day for Delhiites

Delhiites experienced a cold day today as mercury plummeted to around nine degree Celsius after remaining above 10 degrees for the last couple of days.
 
The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.4 degree Celsius, down by 1.2 degrees from yesterday's 10.6, a Met Department official said. Today's minimum, however, was one degree above normal during this period of the year.
 
The maximum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was 23.6 degree Celsius, which is also one degree above normal.
 
A thin layer of fog engulfed the city early in the morning with the visibility reducing to 600 m. However, there was no disruption of flights.
 
The Met department forecast a misty and foggy morning tomorrow with the minimum and maximum temperatures expected to be around nine and 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
 
During the past week, the temperature in the city has been oscillating between eight and 25 degrees Celsius.
