City police to bring two LeT suspects to Bangalore

The two suspected Laksher-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, handed over by Bangladesh, will be brought here in a week's time and produced in court in connection with terror cases in the city, a top police official said.

"We will bring the suspected LeT militants to Bangalore in a week's time," city police commissioner Shankar Bidari said.

"After they are brought to Bangalore, they will be produced before a local court," he said.

According to police sources, T Nazir and Shamas was allegedly involved in the serial bomb blasts in Bangalore in July 2008 which claimed one life and left 20 injured. However, they were not involved in the 2005 terror attack on the Indian Institute of Science here, they said.

Nazir and Shamas were arrested along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya and subsequently handed over by Bangladesh Rifles to BSF yesterday.
