It's almost two years to the death of Dipesh and Abhishek Vaghela, but the CID (crime) still needs more time to nab accused mentioned in the FIR lodged by one of its own officers against the seven sadhaks of Asaram. The seven accused mentioned in the FIR are Pankaj Saxena, Uday Sanghani, Yogesh Bhatti, Vikas Khemka, Meenketan Katra, Kaushik Vanik, and Ajay Shah.

However, additional director general of police VV Rabari told DNA that now since the FIR has been lodged, those responsible for the death of the kids will be put behind the bars soon.

"The case has been handed over to a new officer and he will start interrogating the witnesses. Following this, we will start arresting accused named in the FIR," said Rabari.
The FIR lodged also includes section 114 of IPC and accuses the seven of being party to committing the crime. "What I concluded from my investigation is that these seven people are responsible for the deaths of Abhishek and Dipesh so I have registered an FIR against them," the complainant for the case and police inspector at CID (Crime) HB Rajput told DNA.

Rajput further said that during the course of investigation it was found that the kids died only because of carelessness on part of the Asaram Ashram authorities, and they should therefore be held responsible for the mishap.

Rabari told DNA that so far the police were trying to probe the exact cause of death and the people responsible for it. But now that the names of the people have come to the fore in the FIR and an official complaint has been filed in the case the police will not leave any stone unturned to take action against any crime.

"The seven accused have been charged under IPC 114 because their alleged act resulted in the deaths of two kids," Rajput said.

The two boys, Dipesh and Abhishek, resided at a boarding school run by spiritual leader Asaram Bapu and were found dead on July 5, 2008, in suspicious circumstances.
