An under-construction chimney at Reliance Energy's Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) at Sasan in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh collapsed today but there were no immediate reports of casualties.
"An under-construction chimney nearly 10-12 metre tall collapsed at Sasan's UMPP," Singrauli collector P Narhari told PTI.
No casualties were reported so far from the mishap site, he said, adding there were no reports of casualties so far.
Senior officials including district collector have rushed to the spot to supervise the rescue operation.
The incident occurred at around 4.30 pm and ambulances were sent to the site.
