The Union home minister cancelled his proposed visit today as the trial landing of the BSF helicopter failed in many places including Borapansury, Lunglawn and Kawmzawl.

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram today cancelled his one-day visit to Mizoram but would try to come to this north eastern state tomorrow, official sources said here this evening.
The officials, however, said that Chidambaram would visit only the capital Aizawl city tomorrow and cancelled his proposed visit to a number of villages in both Bangladesh and Myanmar border areas including Mizoram-Tripura border Damdiai hamlet where he was scheduled to meet representatives of the Bru community.
