Some 20 ministers of the Gujarat government visited different talukas to launch the 'Chalo Taluke' campaign's pilot project on Friday.

State urban development minister Nitin Patel, agriculture and cooperation minister Dileep Sanghani, education minister Ramanlal Vora, environment and forest minister Mangubhai Patel, social justice and empowerment minister Fakirbhai Vaghela, minister of state for industries and mines Surabh Patel along with others visited the talukas.

The aim was to interact and take account of taluka level administration and implementation of various state government schemes.

Nitin Patel, who visited Bodeli - taluka center of Sankheda in Vadodara district- said, “A team of 10 ministers and government officers spent the entire day at Bodeli. We talked to various groups like village sarpanchs and members of district and taluka panchayat about implementation of government schemes in their villages. This campaign will create a base for supporting Aapno Taluko Vibrant Taluko (ATVT).”

Patel said that now onwards every taluka will have its own development plan and a committee comprising prant officer, taluka panchayat president, etc.

State education minister Ramanlal Vora who visited Palitana said, “Every minister and government department official talked about various government schemes of respective department.”
