The CBI wishes to write “the last chapter” of the Purulia arms drop case as the agency wants to know the name of a politician, if any, who had helped the main accused Kim Davy escape from Mumbai airport.

After returning from Denmark, in an attempt to extradite Davy, CBI team is hoping that the agency will get order in its favour, as it represented its facts very strongly before the Danish court.
The court is expected to pronounce its order in first week of July. “We have represented our plea to extradite him very strongly.

During trial, we did our best to convince the court that Davy's human rights will be maintained and assured them about treatment in our jail. Since jail is a state matter, we have also presented a letter from West Bengal government as well. We only required him in India during trial,” said a senior CBI official who visited Denmark.

Sources said the “last chapter of this mystery will be written by Davy himself”as the CBI so far has not found involvement of any politician in the Purulia arms drop “conspiracy”. Davy has reportedly blamed Indian intelligence agencies and some politicians in the case and thus tried to weaken India's demand for extradition.

“Once Davy is in our custody, we would probe all allegations. The CBI would also investigate, those who helped him escape. So far our investigation has not named any Indian politician or an Indian intelligence agency,” the officer added.
