The politics of caste and religion has come to an end in Bihar where JD(U) and BJP combine has retained power with a massive majority, BJP President Nitin Gadkari said today.

"Now onwards, only politics of development and progress will work and this has been proved with the results of Bihar assembly elections", Gadkari told reporters here.

"A new beginning of development politics has thus begun," he said.

The results of Bihar assembly elections have also brought curtains on dynasty rule and charisma, Gadkari said in an obvious reference to Congress and its General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.

Congress should realise Rahul Gandhi is no more an asset for them, he said adding his charisma has not worked there.

On Karnataka political crisis, Gadkari said chief minister BS Yesdurappa has initiated a probe into the land scam and told party leadership they can take action against him if found guilty.

Earlier on his arrival from Delhi, Gadkari was accorded a warm reception for steering party to grand victory in Bihar.
