Cash-for-vote scam: Amar Singh moves court for treatment out of country

Singh's interim bail in the cash-for-vote scam case was extended till September 27 by the Tees Hazari Court on September 19.

Former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's lawyer has filed an application in a Delhi court on Monday to take him out of the country for treatment.

The court will decide on the application on Tuesday.

Amar Singh's interim bail in the cash-for-vote scam case was extended till September 27 by the Tees Hazari Court on September 19.

Singh was initially granted the bail by the Tees Hazari Court of Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal in the case on medical grounds but the bail conditions imposed on him he cannot travel abroad, have to surrender his passport, and needs to furnish a personal bond and surety of Rs 2 lakh.

Singh had been suffering from UTI, increase serum creatinine, vitamin B12 deficiency and increased TSH.

His medical report by All India Institue of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said that he had developed severe abdominal pain and he is prone to infection as he had undergone renal transplant.
