In an alarming incident, Hiral Gohil, a call-centre executive who was involved in a live-in relationship with her boyfriend for the past three months, was killed by him on Monday afternoon. The post-mortem report, submitted by a team of five doctors, revealed that Gohil succumbed to her injuries allegedly while her hands and legs were tied.

Hiral's mother lodged a formal murder complaint after she found her daughter's dead body at the city's Wockhart Hospital. She stated in her complaint that Gaurav Pujara and his friend Vicky Zala had killed Hiral.

A police source said, "She was involved in a live-in relationship with Gaurav and was not living with her parents." Her mother said that Pujara and Hiral were to marry soon.

Her mother mentioned in her complaint that Pujara gave her a call at around 1 pm on Monday and said that Hiral had fallen down in the bathroom and he was taking her to the hospital. However, he never called her up again.

Pujara and his friend Zala took Hiral to the hospital in a white Maruti car. However, when they realised that Hiral could die, they escaped from the hospital. Later on her mother reached the hospital and identified her daughter's body.

Both Pujara and Zala are absconding and the police have registered a murder case against them. Cops also found that Hiral was beaten up badly due to which she succumbed to her injuries. "She may have been tied up with something and was beaten to death by someone," said police sources.

The police have launched a hunt for the duo.
