An 18-month-old son of a South Delhi businessman has been abducted allegedly by a teenage domestic servant employed barely 10 days ago.

Delhi police today declared a reward of Rs50,000 for anyone providing information about the child and released the sketch of the suspect.

Ishaan, who is 1.5 feet tall and has golden hair and a round face, was abducted allegedly by the maid Seema, 19, from his house in south-east Delhi's Maharani Bagh yesterday, a senior police officer said.

A case has been registered against Seema, who hails from Jharkhand.

"We have declared a reward of Rs50,000 to those who provide information regarding the boy and the maid," the officer said.

Ishaan is the son of businessman Vikram Singh, who owns a showroom in Khan Market.

"The family had employed the maid ten days ago without any verification," the official said.

"Those who have any information about the boy or the maid can contact the station house officer of New Friends Colony on 0-9868188811 or 011-26834563 or 011-26934863," the official said.
