Instead of issue based politics, Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party have sown seeds of caste politics in Uttar Pradesh, BJP leader Uma Bharti today alleged.

The firebrand leader blamed BSP and SP of "damaging" the political culture of UP with the help of Congress.

"Instead of issue based politics, it is the politics of caste and religion which is being practised in UP by SP and BSP," Bharti said while addressing an election meeting on the last day of campaigning here.

BJP with the help of people of UP would bring the politics back on tracks, Bharti said.

"BSP and SP have sown the seeds of caste politics in UP," Bharati said.

Bharti said that people of the state do not want the corrupt government of BSP nor want an alternative to it in the form of 'goonda raj' of SP.

SP's caste politics has encouraged criminalisation during the past decade while BSP's caste politics has led to corruption, alleged Bharti.

She also alleged that the Congress was practicising appeasement politics in favour of a particular community.

They (BSP and SP) are out to harm the interests of Dalits and backwards and BJP would not allow it at any cost and fight against it from roads to the Parliament.
