BSP leader shot dead in Ghaziabad

A local Bahujan Samaj Party leader was murdered and his body was found locked inside a car in Loni town, Ghaziabad police said on Friday.

Sachin Chaudhary (35), a Municipal Councillor, was found dead inside a car on Thursday night and his body bore bullet wounds, Superintendent of Police (City) JK Shahi said.

Two used bullets of .32 bore were also recovered from the vehicle, he said.

According to the deceased's family, he received a phone call around 7pm after which he left his house to meet someone. Around 9pm, the police received information that a body was lying inside a car, the SP said.

It appears that Chaudhary was shot due to a rivalry and details would be disclosed after investigation.

The body has been sent for post mortem.
