A petrol bomb was hurled inside the office of a prominent vernacular newspaper house in the Shillong tonight by unkonwn attackers.
The bomb broke a window pane and exploded inside the newsroom of Nongsain Hima, a Khasi daily, at around 9pm, creating panic in the area.
A DTP operator sustained minor injuries, while two computer sets and a scanner were damaged, editor Lam Thabah told PTI.
Police officials led by DSP Vivek Syeim have rushed to the spot. They said office staff claimed to have saw a man running after lobbing the bomb.
Superintendant of police (city) Claudia Lyngwa said as of now, nothing can be said and investigation were on.
