BJP supports 'rail blockade' in Telangana on March 1

The BJP's Andhra Pradesh unit on day extended its support to the proposed 'rail blockade' agitation on March 1 called by Telangana joint action committee (JAC) over the statehood issue.

The rail blockade is being organised in the region to mount pressure on the Centre for carving out a separate Telangana state.

T Rajeshwer Rao, chairman, BJP Telangana Action Committee, called upon party workers to participate in the 24-hour long stir and make it a success.

Scores of people would stage sit-ins on railway tracks in Telangana, he said.
