Nearly a dozen party leaders including state general secretary Mahendra Singh were arrested while they were going to Parsadepur town as a part of signature campaign launched by the BJP.

About a dozen BJP leaders were today arrested while attempting to reach Parsadepur town for their signature campaign in the communally sensitive district of Rae Bareli.
"Nearly a dozen party leaders including state general secretary Mahendra Singh were arrested while they were going to Parsadepur town as a part of signature campaign launched by
the BJP," party vice-president Hriday Narain Dixit said.
He alleged that the BSP government was attempting to create hurdle in party's signature campaign.
The party yesterday launched a signature campaign, which would continue till April 10, against policies of the Centre and the state government.
