BJP has been drooling over Jharkhand CM's post: Congress

After the BJP withdrew support to the Shibu Soren government in Jharkhand, Congress today said it was not surprised as that party was "drooling for a long period" to get the chief minister's post.

"We are not surprised by this action of the BJP. It has taken the action in utter desperation. The BJP had been drooling for a long period to get the chief minister's post," party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed said.

He said when the BJP failed to get the coveted post, it was left with no alternative.

Ahmed downplayed Soren's comments that his party was in touch with the Congress, saying he was not aware of it.

Frustrated over Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) backtracking on its power-sharing agreement in the state, the BJP today withdrew support to the Shibu Soren government.
