It seems that the bikers gang are on the prowl. The city witnessed three incidents of robbery and snatching since Sunday last. In the first incident, a woman was robbed of her purse containing jewellery, cash and mobile worth Rs2.17lakh. A police complaint was lodged by the victim, Bharti Nagar, who is the wife of income tax commissioner Rajendra Singh Nagar.

On Sunday night, Bharti Nagar was going to Mirch Masalla hotel when two motorcycle-borne miscreants robbed her purse containing jewellery worth Rs1.5lakh, a watch worth Rs10,000, a mobile worth Rs22,000 and Rs35,000 in cash. The Vastrapur police were investigating.

In another case, Sonal Shah, a resident of Chandan Apartment in Paldi, was robbed of her purse which contained jewellery worth Rs2.55 lakh on Sunday. According to Ellisbridge police, Shah was returning from Tulja Shopping Centre when , six miscreants on three motorcycles snatched her purse.

In the third incident at Mithakali crossroads under Navrangpura police station, a medical shop owner, Kamlesh Shah, was robbed of a bag containing Rs50,000 when he was opening the shutter of his shop on Monday morning. Shah is a physically challenged person. All the three incidents occurred in posh localities.
