Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantric) chief Babulal Marandi today said his party is ready to form the government and end 'political uncertainty' in the state if secular forces support it.

"JVM-P will never back out from taking responsibility if the secular forces give us support," the former chief minister said, hinting at JMM which has 18 MLAs.

The Congress, which has 14 MLAs, is JVM-P's pre-poll ally. JVM-P has 11 MLAs in the House which has an effective strength of 81.

Accusing BJP of 'laying the foundation for political instability' in March 2003 by replacing him with Arjun Munda as chief minister, Marandi, who had snapped ties with the party three years later to float JVM-P, said "BJP has once again pushed Jharkhand to political uncertainty and it will have to pay for it in future."

The series of political uncertainties in the state since its creation had affected development works, he said.

"Bureaucrats stop working during uncertain political situations and Jharkhand has faced such instability several times," Marandi said.
