Congress today claimed that Arvind Kejriwal, one of the key aides of Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption, has been nursing political ambition in the shadow of Anna Hazare.

"Kejriwal hails from Hisar and is using Anna Hazare to launch his political platform. Can't he see corruption of charge-sheeted Ajay Singh Chautala of Indian National Lok Dal candidate from Hisar while Congress candidate Jai Prakash is clean," AICC spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed said.

"Kejriwal's aim is to start his political career, using Anna Hazare's shoulders. And I don't know whether Anna Hazare can see it," he said.

Ahmed said RSS and VHP publicly claiming that Anna Hazare's agitation at Ramlila ground in New Delhi was 'backed by thousands of activists' from their outfits.

"They said about 20,000 people had been fed free during Anna Hazare's fast. And now it is up to Anna Hazare to judge whether his Gandhian ideals are serving right in the background of their (RSS/VHP) declarations," he said here.

Earlier during the day, Kejriwal maintained that Team Anna was not campaigning for any party in Hisar bye-election and that it was not responsible if opposition benefited from Team Anna's appeal to the voters to refrain from voting for Congress for its "failure" to bring the Lokpal Bill in Parliament.

Ahmed was in Ranchi in connection with shardh ceremony of Rajya Sabha member Ramdayal Munda, who passed away on September 30.
