Arun Chaturvedi elected unopposed as president of BJP's Rajasthan unit

Election in-Charge Vinay Katiyar announced his name after the election process was completed.

Arun Chaturvedi will continue to head the BJP in Rajasthan as he has been elected unopposed to the post of state unit president, party officials said today.
   
Chaturvedi, who was nominated as party' state president in June last year following the resignation of Om Mathur after BJP's debacle in the Lok Sabha polls, was the sole candidate to file nomination for the post.
   
Election in-Charge Vinay Katiyar announced his name after the election process was completed.
   
Chaturvedi, a lawyer, has been an active member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He worked in the Akhil Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from 1974 to 1988 and held the post of state vice president of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) from 1988 to 1998.
   
He was BJP's state general secretary from 2004 to 2007 and also held the post of party spokesperson.
