Social activist Anna Hazare will flag off a torch march and a car and bike rally to garner support for the civil society's Jan Lokpal Bill in Mumbai on Tuesday, an India Against Corruption official said here Monday.

“Annaji is likely to flag off a car and bike rally at 9 am involving 500 cars and bikes and around 1,500 participants. However, he might not be able to make it due to his ill health.  But he will surely join us later tomorrow (Tuesday),” the official said.

The rally starts from Dadar (East) in central Mumbai and will culminate at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai around 11 am Dabbawalas and college students will also join the rally.

“Annaji will speak to the media at 4 pm, following which he will proceed to Azad Maidan to address a public meeting along with Lokpal bill joint drafting committee member Arvind Kejriwal,” the official said.

“Annaji will then lead a 100 mashaal (torch) march to August Kranti Maidan in south Mumbai to commemorate the anniversary of the Quit India movement. He and his supporters will take an oath to make India corruption free,” the official added.
