Slamming the Centre over Income Tax department's notice to his aide Arvind Kejriwal asking him to pay dues, Anna Hazare today said a "different course" will have to be charted out if such actions continue.

"We will have to think of a different course of action if the government continues to engage in such things," he said in a veiled threat to the government at the gram sabha of his village where he was felicitated.

"He (Kejriwal) has devoted himself to the service of the society. Like me, he does not have any bank balance. He could have made lakhs. I have seen him from very close. What the government is doing is not right," Hazare said.

Chief Commissioner of Income Tax had on August 5 issued notice to Kejriwal, who had resigned from the Indian Revenue Service, to clear the dues totalling Rs9.27 lakh, alleging that he had violated the bond clauses under which he went for a study leave for two years.
