Villagers ransacked Kajra railway station in Munger district and vandalised railway property after a local was seriously injured in clash with Kanwariyas (Shiva devotees) over seats in Janseve Express from Muzaffarpur to Bhagalpur this morning, official sources said.
 
Kajra station manager Ramvilas Singh said the Kanwariyas clashed with the locals over seats in the train when it reached the station.
 
Three of the Kanwariyas also sustained injuries in the clash, he said.
 
As the news of the clash spread, angry villagers ransacked the railway station and damaged railway property worth lakhs of rupees.
 
Police reached the station and the situation was brought under control, Singh said.
