Ancient idols of Radha-Krishna and Charbhujanath, made of black stone and measuring 30 inches each, were stolen from the Charbhuja temple at Muhana area in Jaipur today, the police said.

Thieves stole the two idols worth crores of rupees in the international market, however, they could not reach the underground portion of the temple where the donation and valuable ornaments were kept, they said.

Locals and the temple priest held a protest outside the temple demanding security for religious places, the police said.
