AMC’s demolition drive continues

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation continued its demolition drive and removed illegal constructions and encroachments from different zones of the city.

In the west zone, the civic body removed seven residential and three commercial encroachments from around 270 sq m land near Memnagar Fire Station. In the north zone, AMC removed five illegal shops near Patel Society near Indirabridge Hansol Circle and cleared around 500 square meter of land.

In the new west zone, it removed illegal construction from the hollow plinth of Mira Apartment under Shyamal Over Bridge.

The civic body also continued with its demolition drive at Patel Estate in Nikol area and near India Colony road in Thakkarbapanagar ward.

The civic body removed 13 hutments near Mastar Colony in Shahpur.
