The All India Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today told the Delhi High Court that Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, arrested for his alleged role in 2008 cash-for-vote scam and admitted there for treatment of his renal infection, needs constant medical monitoring.

"He needs to be constantly monitored for renal function, infections and if he is travelling he should be under the supervision of nephrologist, a dialysis technician, a nurse and use ambulance/air ambulance for emergency," said a report by Additional Professor Doctor Sanjay Gupta of the AIIMS' Department of Nephrology.

The report was submitted to Justice Ajit Bharihoke who had earlier sought to be apprised of Amar Singh's health condition to decide his bail plea.
