One suspected Al Qaeda terrorist carrying a Pakistani passport was arrested near here today, a senior police official said.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house in Purnia town, about 350 km from here, and captured Gulam Rasool alias Mirza, ADG(HQ) US Dutt said.
Dutt said during interrogation Mirza had confessed that he had worked for Al Qaeda between 2004 and 2005.
Mirza was planning to sneak into Bangladesh through the Indo-Bangla border in Purnia district, the ADG said.
