Akshardham attack accused sent to judicial custody

The designated Pota court of Jyotsnaben Yagnik on Monday sent Shaukatullah Ghouri, a prime accused in the Akshardham temple attack, to judicial custody.

The designated Pota court of Jyotsnaben Yagnik on Monday sent Shaukatullah Ghouri, a prime accused in the Akshardham temple attack, to judicial custody.

The Ahmedabad crime branch had brought Ghouri to the city from Hyderabad after his arrest there on July 19. Police had sought a 30-day demand for Ghouri, but the Pota court sent him to 15-day police remand. At least 34 were killed in the attack on Akshardham temple and 86 people had received serious injuries.
