Akhilesh Yadav has assets over Rs4.83 crore

Yadav, 38, who uploaded details of his assets and liabilities on the official website of the state government, is the first Uttar Pradesh chief minister to make a public declaration.

Setting a precedent before his cabinet colleagues, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has officially declared his assets and liabilities worth over Rs4.83 crore.

Akhilesh, 38, who uploaded details of his assets and liabilities on the official website of the state government, is the first Uttar Pradesh chief minister to make a public declaration.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections when Akhilesh filed his nomination papers for Kannauj parliamentary seat, he had declared movable and immovable assets of more than Rs5.52 crore.

As per the fresh declaration till March 15, the chief minister has immovable assets of more than Rs98.84 lakh.

This include agriculture land in Etawah worth Rs17.53 lakh, a property on Vikramaditya Marg in Lucknow (half share) Rs41.63 lakh, another property on MG road in the state capital worth Rs37.55 lakh and a plot of Rs2.11 lakh in Etawah's Friends colony.

Akhilesh's movable property includes a Pajero worth Rs20.16 lakh. All the immovable and movable properties have been declared at cost.

The chief minister has investments of Rs1.08 lakh in insurance policies and mutual funds.

He has invested Rs63.80 lakh in Aviva Life Insurance, portfolio investment of Rs14.86 lakh, principal mutual fund of Rs10 lakh, besides others.

He has Rs1.37 crore as loans and advances, which include Rs22.24 lakh to wife Dimple Yadav, Rs1.11 crore to Prateek Yadav and Rs1.19 lakh to the Samajwadi Party.

With Rs97,923 cash in hand, Akhilesh has a bank balance of more than Rs1.18 crore, including FDRs.

His bank balance include Rs21.22 lakh deposited in RBS Bank Lucknow, Rs14.46 lakh in ICICI Bank Lucknow, Rs23.09 lakh in SBI New Delhi, two FDRs of Rs20 lakh and Rs22.59 lakh in BOB Etawah and one FDR of Rs10 lakh in HDFC bank Etawah.

His liabilities include Rs15.9 lakh in form of securities from RBS Lucknow.

In 2009 when Akhilesh submitted the affidavit along with his nomination for Lok Sabha, he had Rs4.27 lakh cash in hand, besides investments of Rs53.45 lakh in LIC, NSS and postal savings and bond debenture and shares of Rs4.67 lakh.

At that time, he had Rs 2.09 crore deposited in banks, financial institutions and non-banking financial institutions.
