Air India strike: Two domestic flights cancelled from Ahmedabad

Two domestic flights of Air India were cancelled from here today following a strike by a section of its employees.

"Two morning flights-IC-614 and IC-818-scheduled for departure at 7:10 and 8:05 for Mumbai and Delhi respectively from here were cancelled today," airport officials said.

A section of employees of Air India, including engineers, are on a flash strike since yesterday to protest delay in payment of salaries and problems relating to the working conditions of cabin crew.

According to the spokesperson for Air India in Mumbai the long route flight Ahmedabad to Frankfurt was operating as per schedule.

"Just a few domestic flights have been cancelled," he said.
